Ja, lieve mensen, hooggeëerd publiek, we gaan u weer eens flink beoordelen. Now also in English (see below)
Een groepje frisse, jonge kunstenaars van rond de 30 heeft zich gesetteld in TENT, platform voor hedendaagse kunst op Witte de Withstraat in Rotterdam. Tijdens het CAMPSITE Festival houden meerdere makers uit het collectief een korte residentie op locatie in de galerie, waarbij ze nieuwe samenwerkingen proberen.
Onze recensent is daar geheel toevallig ook een paar dagen aanwezig, ten eerste om recensies over het aanwezige publiek te schrijven, maar ook om te testen hoe het concept wat meer de interactie met makers aan kan gaan. De hoofdvraag is: wat voegt het publiek toe als laatste onderdeel van een kunstwerk?
Verwacht tijdens en na het festival (24 maart t/m 10 april) dus nieuwe recensies. Voor de verandering in twee talen, want zo internationaal zijn we ook wel weer.

Hi there, you probably came her wondering what this is all about, so here’s a short intro.
Publieksrecensies (Audience Reviews) is an ongoing somewhat-literary project that analyses the behavior of audiences interacting with art, in the form of a classical review like you’d read in the newspaper or some theatre magazine. We give every audience 3 stars, because a review with 3 stars tells nothing about a work of art.
Normally, we only review theatre audiences (and that one time, the people present at a voting office), but now we want to see what happens in the white cube. This short stint at the festival is also a test to see how the concept could invite more interaction with artists.
Since a significant part of the audience of this festival isn’t a Dutch speaker, we’ll translate these new reviews into English. You’ll find both versions on this website, eventually.
